Please help support saving the Liverpool Plains Prime Agricultural Land & Water Supplies for Food Production For Generations To Come.

10 ways you might choose to help us.

1.    Join CCAG, $50 per annum and/or donate grain or other farm produce.  See our “join and donate form” and read our latest campaign newsletter here.
2.    Join SOS Liverpool Plains, the women’s support group – we do lobbying, media, events, education for members, see more here for this lively women’s group.
3.    Attend our Blockade.  The Blockade is manned every day in two shifts. Here’s where it is.  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it if you’d like to spend an interesting morning or afternoon there on an ad hoc or regular basis.  Comes recommended by all the participants!
4.    Put up a “No Mines” or “No Gas” sign.  Available at Agracom in Quirindi.  Smaller signs available via our website, so please contact us.
5.    Purchase our greeting cards to send, our calico bags for your shopping and other ways you can spread the word by sending our message out further.
6.    Write to your local, state and federal representatives.  Tell them how important this area is to food production, to your family, to your business.  Ask them where they want their food to come from if mining is allowed to wreck the Liverpool Plains?  Remind them of the truth – there are 3x as many jobs in agriculture, fisheries and food than in mining. Politicians respond to pressure – we lead and they follow.
7.    Spread the word. Tell other members of your family, business or community about the Liverpool Plains.  Invite us to give a short talk to your group or association about how important Prime Agricultural Land is to Australia’s food security. Short and fact-filled, our talks show this area is even more productive than you thought!
8.    Write a letter to your local paper, the SMH, Financial Review, The Australian etc expressing your views on the potential sacrificing of Prime Ag Land for short-term gas and coal-mining profits.
9.    Keep and eye on our website www.caag.org.au for events you can attend in the area or in Sydney and Canberra as we keep the pressure on!
10.    Be aware of exploration activities in your area and how they are conducted. Damage to air, soil and water suppliers have to be documented and offenders held to account. Our suggestions if you are approached for access are here. NSW Farmers overview of mining exploration, developing land access agreements and clauses for consideration are linked here from www.nswfarmers.org.au
